The
Pedal Car Testing Circuit...
...is a
casual "Mouse Driving" for Trimble's free SketchUp 3D modeling
application. The
track is located in exotic, tropical scenery; so it is better to draw
off
the cardigan before you start driving.

Your Hardware:
With
average PC the model runs more than smoothly even with the highest
display adjustments. But if the hardware is very old and poor, you can
improve the screen speed by lower its resolution. If possible, you may
also choose "performance" instead of "quality" in your graphics card
options.
Tune
Your SketchUp:
The model
contains some essential textures with very high resolution. The best
visual result can be reach by using "maximum texture size" -option from
SketchUp "preferences" -menu. You can take that option off but some
textures (including tarmac) does look a little blurrier though. With
poor hardware you can also try to use some of the simpler pre-made
styles from "Scene tabs".

Your Skills:
At first
"Mouse Driving" can be
little tricky if you have not done it
before, but you can practice for your performance in a wide parking
area
next to the track.
Succeeding in the competition is almost
exclusively
result of person's own driving skills. Due the minimalistic track
design, graphics card (or hardware generally) has very little to do
for the driver's lap time.
... and the Wadi Rum Circuit
Another
"Mouse Driving" now with dirt track experience in exotic location of
sand desert scene in Wadi Rum, Jordan. Watch the screen capture
from the track in YouTube.
